Shimmer Swimmer Testing

Been out at my neighbors pond doing a little experimenting. Sense releasing the Shimmer Swimmers I have had several people ask about Colorado blades on them. David Best also wants to know about doing them this way for an upcoming show he has down in Louisiana. Last year he had quite a few request for Gold ones by the guys down there that Red Fish. Here is what I have come up with and will be offering on my web site.

To me and from the experimenting I just got done doing. I w...ill not be offering the Colorado Blade on the 4/0 Hook. Just over powers it on that small of a hook and that small of a swim bait. It works fine if I drop down in size to a # 3 Colorado Blade but like I said above, just over powers it to much in my opinion.

What does work GREAT and something some of you may want to try on the Shimmer Swimmers you already have. Try putting a # 4 Colorado Blade on the 6/0 and 8/0 Hooks. That dude will thump like crazy and looks DAMN good coming through the water. You can just crawl the 3/16 oz and will swim/thump unreal. Go heavier and you start opening up the doors a little on the different ways you can fish this thing.

So, with the above being said. I am fixing to get on my web site and make a few changes so that you can now order the 6/0 and 8/0 Shimmer Swimmers with either a Nickel or Gold Colorado Blade. Below is a picture of the one I was out in my neighbors pond testing.
