So, I back my boat into the water , part deaux

    It starts, I put it in gear to get off the trailer, and I hear this terrible clanking ...........and wow, IDK what to hell. I pull up on the ramp ............and this is loose , it was dangling down getting hit by the prop.

    Honestly, I don't know what it is, why its loose, or how to fix it. It looks like I can access a screw after removing a rubber seal above it. But I'm not gonna start breaking it down till I know what I'm doing .

    I swear, I'm snakebit ............. I've never had this much crap go wrong, getting spooked about even trailering the damn boat to the lake.
