A Crappie Day

    Had planned on working yesterday and got a phone call late Saturday evening from a friend of mine. The crappie fishing had been a little slow on Sardis this year with the lake being a little low. Lake just started rising a little about a week ago and the fish have followed the rise. Invited me to meet him down at his place to try and catch a few. They have a pretty strict size limit on them and they have to be over 12" before you can even keep them with the limit being 20 per person. Met him at day light and fished until 12:00. Caught about 45 with lot's of 11" to just under 12" fish and 15 that were legal to keep. Had 6 or 7 of them that were 15" on up to 16". Some big Crappie to say the least.

    Time to get the grease HOT !!!
