Adventures in eating

So couple weeks ago I mentioned the wife and I were going to adventure into new foods. We have decided that each Saturday we will try a new cousine.

So last night we made Ugandan meatballs, ground beef, cardemom, cinnamon, parsley and cayenne, wife made a dipping sauce of plain yogurt parsely salt and jalapenos, Morrocan couscous with raisons, zuccini, red onions and similar spice pallet and Algerian carrots made with cinammon, cardemom and garlic.

The meatballs and carrots were very good, the couscous (very small pasta) was ok. Taste was fine but we were not a fan of the texture.

Last weekend we did Carribean which was Pirate Stew, think beef stew with turnips and parsnips added. Good lil sweet from the parsnips and carrots.

Next week, in honor of St. Patricks Day, I think we will be venturing into the Irish realm of cooking. Leaning toward a lamb and Guiness stew.
