An Intel Ops Story

I was chatting with an old friend this afternoon trying to learn more about the OPSEC group. He didn't have any info but brought up an old story about an operations guy I worked with. You may have heard me speak of him.

The night before, one of the newer intel guys got in a hissy fit with the local police. He said who he was and the cop escalated it. The cop grabbed the newbie and put some pressure on his shoulder. Our guy grabbed his hand and put on a radial nerve block ( or what Mossad calls a "finger tap"). Both decided to stop and the cop let our guy leave but said he was filing a report. Next day, the police chief asked to speak to the newbie's supervisor. Well, that was "Dr. Death" and he offered to buy the chief lunch. I tagged along as a witness. Dr D offered to buy lunch and the chief ordered the "cowboy cut" steak. About 3 in. thick and expensive. I can see 'ol doc starting to steam. After about 10 minutes of the chief being rude, he looked at doc and said " you guys aren't so tough without your weapons. 3 seconds later, Dr. Death had driven the straw from his water glass completely through the chief's 3 in. steak. The cop turned a little white, said he had a meeting, and left, leaving his steak. I enjoyed that day and hadn't thought about it in years. Just thought I would pass it on. When you folks talk about ops and warriors this is what the old timers were like.
