Audi R8 Inspired Speed Boat

A Swedish company has engineered a light weight speed boat based off Audi’s R8 design.

The manufacturer, Vizualtech, has digitally constructed a water sports (no, we don’t mean golden showers) vessel out of the design and performance of an Audi R8. This ship, (possibly) soon to be constructed for the Dubai race establishment an dubbed R 8.8 BioCat, is 29-foot long, features gull wing doors and is said to be designed for a single bio-diesel V10 or twin V8 gas engines. With that you are looking at a top water craft speed of 110 MPH – we are not sure how many knots that is – but it sounds fast! Why is this boat being built for the Dubai water crowd? Can you think of anyone else who’d be able to afford this ship? Honestly, don’t expect to see this docked anywhere on the Jersey shore anytime soon.
