Bull Shoals

    I attended a Rally last week at Bull shoals AR and had a great time. The fishing was tough so Russ and I could only get 6th out of 28 teams. We drove down early so we could pre-fish and did finally find some spots to catch a few fish. The water temp when we got there was 46 degrees and warmed to 49-50 by Sat. We caught most of our fish with jerk baits and brush hog’s. The brush hog became the go to bait the day of the tournament. We caught out fish in 10 to 15 foot of water around big rock piles and brush piles but we needed a few more spots pick out to have finished higher in the tournament. Russ lost a really nice bass that would have put us into 2nd place but that’s how fishing goes some times. We had 5 for a total weight of 10.60 pounds and 1st place won with 14.20 pounds. Rick Pierce (Bass Cat Boats) fished in the same rally tournament and finished in 15th place. He seemed like a very nice guy and was very friendly to everyone at the Rally. He makes a great boat and runs his business the way more folks should. He was open and honest about the company and a gentleman.
