Camping and Fishing

We decided to come home early because of the electrical storms and the huge mosquitos. I haven't seen mosquitos like these since Nam. The first night I did a smoke bath to drive them off me and clear the area. Next night I looked like a greased hog after slathering on bug repellent. I'm ok but my buddy looks like he got attacked by a 1000 vampires. We fished the grass at Kincaid and caught a few. I caught a nice catfish, which we ate. We put in at New Athens to fish the Kaskaskia River and caught 14 nice Sauger. Then the storms and we had to leave as that river rises very quickly. A little fun, a couple of beers, some good conversation, and those Sauger made the trip worth it.

It was fun fishing out of a tin boat again. Places you can go with it that you can't in a glass boat.
