China Watch

China, who is starting to run out of resources for it's 1 billion plus population, has started it's end game to make the South China Sea it's personal lake. The Chinese have created a civilian controlled Coast Guard to project it's power around territory disputed by Japan, Vietnam and the Phillipines. All the disputed territory is ripe for the production of oil, rare earth minerals and fishing rights. China, in essence, ha declared the whole of the South China Sea as belonging to China and they will fight wars to defend it. The only country that can contest this policy is Japan. However, Japan does not have the military strength to enforce it's rights. It will posture and do everything short of war to stop China. Once China has accomplished it's objective all the countries touching the Sea become unwilling vassels of China. It's started now and won't take more than a couple of years to accomplish. What will the US do to stop China? NOTHING! Does China have any country to worry about? Yes they do. INDIA is looking closely at the situation and may take steps soon to stop China's growing power. If they wait too long, there will be nothing the can do to thwart China. Look for war as China trys to extend it's influence and control the Mekong River basin.
