Finally

The wife has a Civic and with me being 6'3", her 6', the 11 year old girl 5'5", and 2 smaller boys, we looked like clowns rolling out of a car at the circus. I made the mistake of telling her in a year or so, we would look at a mid 2000s SUV. Well, that started the ball rolling and we spent all last weekend riding around looking at car lots. We rode from 8:30am til 6:00pm. Everything we came across was either ragged out, ridiculous mileage, previously wrecked, salvaged, or over priced for the year model (I wasn't thinking about tax return season and dealers not budging much). As normal, I got frustrated with the whole idea and said we would just hold out and keep an eye on Craigslist for a for sale by owner.

That night I found this one below. The guy works at the Chevy dealer and ordered it new in 2001. In 2005 he ordered 6 GM limited edition wheels for it (2 extra in case he curbed some). Being it was ordered for an employee, it was delivered with plastic wrapped on everything. He said he didn't remove the plastic from the carpet til a couple years ago and it shows. He had a mat in the back and when I took it out, it still had the carpet part number sticker on the carpet. He had the 3rd row seats stored in his garage, still wrapped in plastic. The outside looks great as it has always been garaged. He had installed a K&N cold air intake, larger rotors and gave me all the original parts.

In short, this one looked far better and more taken care of than the 2008s we looked at and she is happy, happy, happy. Now we just have to sell the Civic :dancing_banana: I never liked that car.
