I normally use 8 lb. test, a 1/8 oz. ball head jig with a 3(0) hook and 4 in. worm to fish deep water docks for suspended bass. I upgraded to 14 lb. line, a 5(0) hook and an 8 in. worm because the fish are really big and the fishing is outstanding at the moment. I'm vertically jigging the worm off the front of deep docks. Time for a quick breakfast and out again before the cruisers come out to play for the holiday.
