got out again this morning

No rain in sight to run me off the water this morning. Hit the ramp about 5:15. Air temp about 73 and the water was 83. Not a cloud in the sky and no breeze at all. Didn't take long to put a few smallies in the boat on a crankbait. Fish didn't want anything to do with a topwater or a spinnerbait today, just a crankbait. Fish were coming at a rate of about three smallies to every largemouth. Largemouth were running up to about 2 1/4lbs. Smallies were averaging about 2lbs. Best fish of the day was this 18" smallie. Damn thing was built like a torpedo and gave up a good fight. Sun was getting hot and the ramp was starting to fill up with idiots so I decided it was time to come home. Water was up to 87 when I loaded up.
