Hartwell Results...

I arrived Friday afternoon at around two, and witnessed James doing some successful sight fishing right beside the dock.

Then I unloaded 6 containers that were as follows...

Redbridge Sorgum Beer
Highland Gaelic Ale
Highland Oatmeal Porter
Dos Equis
New Belgium Rolle Bolle
Leinkenkugel Summer Shandy Weiss

After sampling Friday and Saturday the overall winner was .....

Highland Oatmeal Ale. I was amazed, this is an adventuresome crowd

Second was Dos Equis. I'm pretty sure AC hired some Mexicans to unload the food and clean his boat so that's where that went...

Third was a tie between Highland Gaelic Ale and New Belgium Rolle Bolle .. Again a suprise, because other than the Mexican stuff that got scoffed up, I was sure this was the only beer anybody would recognize..

Fourth was Leinkenkugel Summer Shandy, not suprising and it would have tied for last but I drank two of them ...

Fifth was Redbridge Sorgum Beer. It's gluten free, btw, and I was amazed at the adverture of the crowd with the Oatmeal Porter.. so I guess a Sorgum beer was just pushing a little too hard :Rolling:

We had great burgers Friday and great steaks on Saturday to compliment the good beer.. along with all kinds of good sides provided by the gracious Doc, and her wonderful hubby doing all the cooking. Good food to go along with good beer.

Fishing?

Team Puker's Roost ( 203 and Baker ) first with slightly under 9 pounds
Team Marine Horah ( Braveheart ) second with slightly under 8 pounds
Team Tarheel was third ( James and Chris ) with slightly under Team Marine Horah's weight
AC already reported his catch.

It was good, weights were all within 1.5 pounds across the board, excellent fishing conditions, and I got a free boat wash on the way home.
