Hey, Dixiedog

    I cook with maple syrup and have always bought a quality called Grade A Amber as the store manager said it was the best. They were out of the Grade A Amber so I bought Grade B Dark. There was a big price difference with the Grade B being significantly cheaper. When I tried it, the taste was a lot bolder with a much stronger maple taste. This is what I need for cooking. How come the better tasting grade is considered poorer quality and less expense? Being from Maine, I hope you can enlighten me. I would think the taste would have determined the cost.
