I found a circa 1955 Heddon Hula Dancer still in it's box today a I was clearing out a closet. It is a metal lipped crankbait with a rubber stranded tail. The tail was all melted together so I might cut it off. I remember using it at Norfork as a kid and think it is one of the first lures I bought. Will I hurt the value if I cut the old skirt off and put on a newer living rubber skirt? I'm actually thinking of fishing with it next summer.
