I don't know what to do

This is so far the worst football team ability wise that I have ever coached. Granted it can change it is early. Tonight was the first night of hitting. Here is a couple qoutes

1. You want me to run through that box and he is going to tackle me. Coach that is going to hurt......and it did
2. Coach I don't want to play football anymore cause I don't want that boy to hit me he is mean.
3. I don't want to be a running back cause you have to run....Can I be the kicker
4. Last but not least. Can I get everybody some water.

We ran a tackleing drill 4 of the first 8 kids laid on the ground crying the first time. I can honestly say there was only one hit by my boy that even remotely appeared to be a hit. I love kids love coaching and have been fortunate have had some great kids in the past both as a person and as a player. I have always had a couple go to kids that really stood out that you knew you could count on and could play. I have not found that this year YET but will try again tomorrow not given up
