It's hard losing a friend!

Been a group of us farming for white tail the last few years and the land owner has put a 8 point rule on the buck we can take plus a limit of one deer so
We can grow our herd. I have no problem with this rule but one of the guys has blown up and quit the group and not sure how he is going to be friendship wise. He is not out any money just sometime helping plant crops. I don't want to get in the middle of this so I'm telling them both talk it out with each other not me. Thoughts?
