Merry Christmas

[SUP]We hear the Christmas scripture every year, but how many really pay attention to what it says?[/SUP]


And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.


For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.


A baby born to a king, in a palace with great attention would have proved to the people of the day that the messiah they were waiting on had truly been born. But, that baby came into the world so humbly, that people doubted then as many still do now.

That baby would be the greatest present ever given. That baby would one day become the ultimate sacrifice and shed his blood, so that our sins may be forgiven. That baby overcame hell, death and the grave and now sits at the right had of God, being a intercessor of our prayers and awaiting the day God tells him to bring his believers home.

Believing is not only acknowledging the existence, but depending on, obeying and trusting, just as a child believes in his or her parents.
