Middle East Discussion

For those interested, let's have a discussion on the middle east and the muslim religion. We get a lot of topics on the subject in various forums. If there is enough interest, maybe we can get Oscar to open the chat room. I was thinking next week but the holiday is approaching. Sometime in mid September? Only if there is enough interest.

Some topics to discuss--Sufiism, Wahabbiism, the "Mahdi", Shia and Sunni, extremeists, fissues within Islam, anything else you want to discuss. An easy and quick way to learn about these things is Wiki-pedia. It is not in-depth information but will supply what you need.

Also, if you go to the public CIA site on the net, you can access a document called the CIA Country Fact Book or a similar name.
Most, not all, intelligence agencies have a public area on their sites with good information. If you have questions about this, send me a PM.
