I know no one on here really cares about basketball and I don't either, but I've always liked to watch Tim Duncan play. He was very unassuming at Wake Forest and is still the least promoted star in the NBA. He is not flashy, don't have to be the high scorer every night, don't see pictures of him flashing gang signs. He just plays team basketball (which is unheard of nowadays)

Duncan landed with the perfect team in the Spurs. He was mentored by another player with the same attitude in David Robinson. They have a coach that believes in playing a team game and doesn't allow egos to get in the way. And the other players on the team play with the same TEAM mentality. Even though Parker and Ginobili could be stars on other teams, you never hear of contract disputes with the Spurs

The reason I decided to post about this is the Spurs have the best record in the NBA, yet you don't hear much about that. Everyone is too busy talking about what Lebron and the other individual superstars are doing in Miami. I really don't pay any attention to basketball anymore, but would love to see the Spurs win the championship one more time, especially against Miami. Maybe, just maybe people will see that a team will still beat a group of superstars playing as individuals, but that wouldn't sell jerseys or appeal to the little hoodlums that the NBA is marketing to.
