We took Lilly Sue to the vet's office today to drop her off for spaying tomorrow. When we came in, there was a little puppy (don't know the exact age, but he still had his milk teeth). As soon as we walked in, the two puppies were playing. Come to find out, the dog was there to be adopted (it's a large facility that does adoptions/foster homes too) and that one of the staff was fostering him until a home could be found. The poor little guy had something sprayed on him and ignited (it looked like a straight line of fluid like from a charcoal lighting fluid container). The Humane Society took the dog and the owners ARE being prosecuted. A really neat little guy and a sharp looking little dude. He is some kind of a Australian Shepherd/Terrier mix. The Girl started crying (she's a crier) and asked if we could take him. While we were in the consultation room with the vet, I'd made up my mind that we could take him home with us, but the new family came and got him before we came out. We got a card that in case it doesn't work out with the new family, they would call us!
Moral of the story is that there are some sick SOB's running around. Lock and Load. :censored:
