Never accept free cookies! (long)

What a crappy day today! I was on the phone at work today, talking to a meat broker. One of the ladies that works there walked past and offered me a cookie. I took it, ate it in one gulp, and washed it down with some diet Mt. Dew. Then I noticed something wasn't right. When I got off the phone, I found her and asked her what kind of cookie it was. She told me that it was an Oreo cookie with peanut butter. I'm very allergic to peanuts. This is not good. It had only been about 5 mins since I ate it when I noticed that everything in my stomach had turned to liquid and my mouth was swelling and itchy. I was wheezing by the time I picked some Benadryl from the counter and paid for it. I took two, then a third for good measure. Then, it was time to deal with the stomach issue. It wasn't pretty. That was about the last thing I remember clearly once the Benadryl kicked in.
I managed the rest of the day and had to take another dose of anti-histamine and somehow kept my 91/2 fingers where they belong, and I was "less than stellar" at the gym today.
In short. Beware of people offering you sweets. Nothing good can come of it. :Rolling:
