Nice Lunch

    Last fall a guy PM'ed me on another site about deep water fishing. I forgot all about it with the back problems going on. Anyway, he called today and asked if we could meet and talk. He was going to pass through St. Louis on his way to a tourney and wanted to do lunch. We met at the Cracker Barrel on I55 south of the city. I don't follow the tours on TV and didn't recognize the guy but he fishes the main FLW and a bunch of other trails.. He was going to spend an hour and we wound up talking about 3 hrs. I donated a couple jig heads and a few 12 in. grubs. The guy looked at them and said '' you got to be kidding ". We talked a lot about the offshore shad schools and if that also worked on lowland lakes. YES IT DOES. You just fish shallower and more towards the bottom. He said he would like to talk again on his next time through the area. I was impressed with the wrapped Ranger and Tundra truck wrapped the same as the Ranger. And here I thought no one ever read my posts over there. I did get a free lunch out of it.
