So I decided to hit the water yesterday, got to the ramp around 9:30, I know its a lil late but had to get the kids on the bus. Drop the boat in, knew I couldnt use the big motor, needs a new fuel filter. Drop the trolling motor, move to the dock to tie it up, wrap the rope around the cleats of both boat and dock, hop up on the dock, boat slips out away from the dock. Time for a swim in 70+ deg. water. Jump in in boxers and tshirt get boat, troll back to dock triple tie to the dock. Park the explorer, luckily I had a dry tshirt in the car with me, put that on. Lock the doors, off to the water I go. Untie the boat, go to step onto it, wind was blowing a lil, I almost miss stepping off the dock into the water, again. Ok onto the fishing, trolling down the shore, throwing spinnerbait, buzzbait, miss one on the buzzbait. Wind is blowing still, find a secluded spot with weeds and pads, throw a frog overtop, finally fish on. Nothing big, but still a fish in the boat and the skunk is out. Fish the area for an hr or so and not another sniff. Troll back out of the area, down the shore line, to a culvert, marking fish, not a sniff. Then the reel issues started, lots of backlash and line breakage, put a couple of the rods away. Stop breath, get myself organized, move across the lake to an island, rigged up a wacky worm, pickeral on and no pliers. Luckily get him off with no teeth marks. Fish the island, no strikes. Troll across the lake to the other side, wind at my back. Get to the other side of the lake, throwing swimming senko and wacky worm, about the time the wind decides to kick up, one of the tm batteries decides to start getting weak, wind is blowing from where I came and ramp is located. Ok Ill replace the older battery with the big engine battery. Damn one of the wing nuts is stuck on the batt. post of the older battery and me without pliers, oh which are still in the explorer. Remeber I have a fillet knife with me, use the spine of that to turn the wing nut and switch batteries, back to fishing after I get myself off the shore the wind blew me up onto. Looked down on the deck, there is a eye ring from one of the two rods in the locker, great  Direction I was heading was out of the wind and in the direction of the ramp. Hook a couple on the swimming senko and couple on the wacky worm, drop one or two. Almost time to head in, gotta be home to get the kids off the bus, moving across the lake, hook one more on a spinnerbait. Fish out the shoreline back to the ramp. Tie the boat up, CHIT where are my keys. Walk up to the explorer, they are still in the ignition  Luckily I have electronic keypad on the door, open it up back her down and load up. Off to home we go. Get home, hook up battery charger to big engine battery, says has 60% go back in, come back an hour later, still says 60% WTH, forgot to set the charger to charge. Go to pick up dinner last night, cant find my wallet, scouring the explorer, the boat, getting worried I lost it off the boat, luckily the wife found it on the floor in the kitchen. This is a typical day on the water for me, if it can go wrong, it will. Oh well, still caught some fish, had fun, with a few exceptions.
