Refrigerator repair

I have two water filters on my fridge, one on the line before it reaches the fridge and the other is built in. I changed out the in-line filter yesterday. Well, today we start having trouble with the in door water dispenser. It was sputtering, I thought it was just air in the line and it would eventually get back to normal.

It didn't . It started leaking at the dispenser, a slow drip. I do some Googlin and was pretty sure the water inlet valve was the culprit. Probably some little particle was dislodged with the new in-line filter and would not allow the valve to seat.

So, I just happened to have another water inlet valve I'd purchased a few years ago, when I thought I needed one , but didn't. I put that one in and now I get no water at all.

I'm thinkin the new valve was defective. I can't imagine it being anything else.
