some random thoughts on pro sports

first off, not whining, just facts.Last week the Patriots lose because they pushed a man into the line get called for the penalty and lost. Belichik said the Jets did the same thing and everyone said he was wrong. Today they say coach was 100% correct and they used the Jets film of them doing it to pass to all teams to show what not to do. So why weren't the jets called for it ? Baseball, Sox lose on an obstruction call! Never been called in a World Series @3b. They lose and today they say the rule will be changed next year because as it reads today is " challenging " When asked what the 3b was supposed to do while lying on the ground to avoid the runner the umps said not to obstruct:doh:Had he gotten up immeadiately it would have been obstruction.No sour grapes, I said it was gonna be a good Series and still believe it goes 7. I've always understood the " human " effect on the game. When I coached I umpired my teams practice games and was brutal to my kids. I wanted to teach them that umpires would make mistakes and not to let them influence our outcomes. The Pro's have and are extending replay next year .The other thing that Winona and I laugh at that is freakin disgusting is to look inside the dugout during the let's say 3rd inning- early in the game and see the crap all over the ground. Don't they have garbage cans or don't the ball players know how to use the damn things:doh:One other thing while were at it. Yes, they can call a penalty in football on almost every play but I get tired of seing good kick returns and a flag gets thrown NOWHERE around the runner. In baseball do you ever notice how BOTH teams ***** about balls and strikes ? Sometimes you wonder if the ump sets up outside can't see the inside of the plate and guesses or falls for the catcher pulling it back into the strike zone? Lastly, the umpire Joyce,he's involved in 2 HUGE calls, I think he's good and a nice human being.But, does he think he's bigger than the game or that HE's the show, or does he call them too soon as he see's them ?I'll bet by the end of the day we'll all have something to add to the list.
