The wife and I decided to wait till tomorrow to head to LOZ. I read the meteorologists weather discussion for Western Missouri on the net. They mentioned that there would be "splitting supercells" in western and central Missouri. This is a new term for me and I had to look for information about them. A Splitting Supercell is a supercell where the wind shear is so strong it makes the supercell split into 2 or more new supercells. It makes the supercells rotate even stronger than normal and promotes exceptionally strong and long term tornadoes. A single supercell splitting is unusual and to have numerous supercells splitting sounds like armegeddon. Did I mention softball or bigger hail from these monsters? Not a good day to travel in Missouri.

Abe's area sounds like it could recieve as much as 4 or 5 inches of rain today. Good Luck, Abe!
