Thank you Joey and a little rod review

Just wanted to give Joey a public shoutout for some jigs I ordered from him. Got them the other day and today is the first chance Ive really had to take a good look at them. I ordered 2 3/16 green pumpkin/hot craw and 2 3/16 black and the same in 5/16 poison tail jigs. Nice, nice work Joey.





I did take one with me today while I tested my new 13 Omen rod out along with a scrounger/fluke combo. Fish didnt want the jig, but they were happy to eat the scrounger. In an hour had three smallies on shore, nothing like the one the other day and one follower which was a much bigger fish. Got the Omen during Tackle Warehouse's Memorial Day sale for less than $100 plus free shipping. The 13 Omen 7'3" med rod handled both lures wonderfully. Bringing the fish was like butta. Nice crisp casting action due to the what is called fast tip but prob closer to an extra fast tip. Nice titanium guides. Had it teamed up with a Zillion 7.1-1 loaded with 65 lb braid and 17lb mono leader. Only bad thing I noticed on the rod, was where the reel seat and handle meet, there is a little bit of a lip on right side, which rubbed my hand a little, probably more because it was wet. That isnt an issue I see I have to return the rod, little rod tape or some sand paper should easily fix the issue.
