Thanks LOZman and Joey

Just wanted to say thanks LOZman for starting the jig fishing thread. Have been trying to get more confidence and better catch ratios with jigs for better part of a year now. I had gotten with Joey in the past and bought several colors and styles but still have not had much confidence in using them. Went to a small power supply lake today (Hyco) and right off the bat got on a good crankbait bite. Partner and I both had our limits within an hour. I remembered LOZman's thread about using the only the jig. I put everything away except a 1/4 oz Green Pumpkin Blue Football jig. I began flipping around laydowns, skipping in boat slips and around dock pilings. Only actually felt two of the fish bite on the jigs. A couple literally ran with the bait but most just made the line twitch ever so slightly on the fall. Finished the day boating another 15-20 fish on the jig. I truly enjoyed getting on a good jig bite (even though no true hawgs were caught, biggest fish maybe 14") and thanks to LOZman's thread, AC's comments and Joey's quality jigs I am now officially hooked as a jig fisherman. All bites were on the drop or within a short hop or two of the initial drop. Every one was a solid hookset in the top of the mouth thanks to Joey's jig. Again thanks guys! :cheers:
