That was rough

A supercell came up I-55 into south St. Louis county. Directly over my house. Golf ball to baseball size hail and a lot of it. I think the tornado went over the subdivision but didn't come down on us. This will be my 2nd new roof in 6 weeks. This severe weather is really annoying and this one scared the wife and cats.

We were in the basement and the cats went berzerk for about 2 minutes when the tornado was approaching. They knew something bad was coming. The NWS had put St. Louis in the extreme hazardous weather zone. The TV weatherman said this meant that everyone in the zone had a 30% chance of being hit by a tornado. I never heard of this before. The supercell that went over us was one of those "Splitting Supercells". It intensified as it reached St. Louis city.
