They are going to take away your guns

Why do people think that any President would try to take away the right to bear arms? One of the main concepts of US defense is a citizen army with weapons. Why do we, the bastion of freedom, fight a war every 10-15 years when the rest of the world seldom fights a formal war? It is to keep that citizen army which we value bolstered by combat hardened veterans. While the US Military is drawing down forces, the civilian reserve is constantly refreshed. No President will try to change this formula which has worked for 200 yrs.
