Today makes a week smober

I quit all nicotine a week ago today. I had changed brands to a cheap 1.40 a pack brand of little cigars a few months ago. That helped me cut way back. The first fishing trip will be the first REAL challenge.

Put the Livestrong App on my phone and picked up Alan Carrs "The Easy Way to Stop Smoking". I am not going to say it's been easy but no where near as hard as last time.

The book did have an interesting fact...for me at least. They did a study after WWII in Britain replacing marijuana in cigs and soldiers would go out and purchase the regular cigs because the nicotine addiction is so powerful compared to marijuana.

This wasn't news to me but for many non smokers it is something they simply can't grasp. Nicotine is wicked addictive!!!

Anyhow, my sinuses feel better. I've gained maybe three pounds. Walked about five miles this week on top of work. Looking at buying a bicycle to replace the scooter. Tired of felling sick and old all the time at 52.
