We are at WAR!

The Chinese have attacked US computers for many years and in some cases have breached computers in industry, academia, and government. They have stolen sensitive information and technology from the US and others. The latest attacks have been on allies with Canada the most recent. This is important because we share information and secrets with our allies. The shooting has not started yet but we ARE at war none the less. I fervently hope that drought, climate change and corruption catches up with them before the bullets and missles fly. Their Quadrennial Defense Review has said they will be prepared for war with us in
2017. I believe the computer attacks signal the war has already begun.

This view came from a recent supper with some retired analyst friends. Most have been retired for years, some as much as 20 years. They still follow the news and use the internet and their minds and skills are as good as ever. Pretty much a consensus view on this topic.

For you folks interested in keeping current on world issues, some good sources which are free: newspapers, private intel firms such as Strategic Forecasting and the Jane's group of defense publications.
