What!!! Part Deux (that's "2" for you yankees)

NYC is all giddy with the thought of a new mosque at Ground Zero, but what about St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church? Oh, that's right. They're CHRISTIAN, so it doesn't matter.:doh: It seems the church had been in the same location since 1922 until 9/11/01 when it was destroyed when the south tower fell, which destroyed it. The congregation wanted to rebuild in the same location on land the church owned outright. But NYC did like the idea because it didn't fit into they're plans. They wrangled a deal to exchange city owned land with the church, giving the church some city owned land and promised assistance and funding to move to the new location.

The only rub is NOTHING has been done. The city seems to be dragging it's heels. But yet they're falling all over themselves for a new mosque. And they STILL won't let the church rebuild in it's original location.

Here's a link to an old NYT article, but the problem has still not been resolved. This article was before the mosque resolution came about. If it wasn't for Glenn Beck, more people would not know about this.
