What "Returns" tell you...

Okay, Christmas being over and now the returns have started. Been going on all week. Been working retail for 20+ years now and I can tell you that there are some people in this world that are some of the most UN-grateful simpltants I ever seen. :Mad:

Working for Wal-Mart wasn't so becoming at that time, but at Academy, we are in a little bit higher plane, price wise and better quality products being sold. Therefore, I have a lot of good people buying gifts for their loved ones, i.e. husbands, wives, kids etc, good stuff too! Expensive? You betcha. From $1000 rifles and shotguns to $300 scopes for long guns they already have. $160 rods to $200 reels. They bought them. Now, I go up and get some of the returns and look at them to make sure they are actually our products and such, and Im seeing these $300 scopes and $160 rods coming back and I get excuses like "Not the right one" "Don't like it" "She got the wrong size", she got the wrong camo pattern." Just stupid reasons, IMO for bringing back stuff. Now, I know and can understand the wrong size in clothing and stuff, but c'mon man!! Wrong scope?? Me: Does it not fit your rifle? Customer: Yeah, it fits, but I wanted a Nikon, not a Leupold." :censored: Me: "Whats wrong with this Duckett rod??" Customer: "She got the wrong action."

All Im saying is this, if my adorable Doc of a Wife went out anbd bought me a $160 Duckett rod or a $300 scope for my rifle, I'm not returning it for another brand or if my rod is the wrong action or for ANY reason!! The fact she even thought of me in that way and would spend the time and money to obtain it would be good enough for me. To me, thats insulting the giver of the gift. I will find a way to use a Medium action Duckett rod or I will find a way to use a Leupold scope for my rifle.
