Why the Tea Party?

When I look at the rank and file of the Tea Party and their stated goals, I like what I see. When I look at the deep pockets folk funding candidates and advertising, I wonder at the deep pockets's motives. Just seems to me there might be some personal motives and goals from the financiers of the party. I hope I am wrong as I think they are a viable alternative to the major parties. I would like to know more about the Koch brothers for instance. If these guys are on the up and up I'll vote for the party. For some reason I feel there is another shoe to drop before the next presidential election. I personally have seen enough of this president.

I have tried to find more info on the Tea Party backers but there doesn't seem to be much out there. The only folks I know who talk about the party are on this forum. If you know anything about the backers of the party, I would appreciate reading it.
