Wild time while turkey hunting

So I am turkey hunting Saturday and I have two hens out in the field. When I hear two gun shots next place over. No big deal. About a minute later I see something running up the field. I think deer no coyote no pack of wild dogs. They run off the birds and start to come after me. I had no choice I was in fear of being attacked. I dropped one the other two leave. About five minutes later two guys come walking up on and ask if I had seen a pack of wild dogs. Turns out they had attacked them and they killed two of them. I got one so there is two left. These were big rots. Scared hell out of me. It happened in the blink of a eye. I hate to think what would have happened if they got on me.
