Gotta love BILLIONaires...

    Tillman Fertitta, private owner of Landry's Restaurants, the Houston Rockets, Golden Nugget Casino, and other things, just announced he was laying off 40,000 people. I don't know what he pays these people per hour but let's say it's an average of $15 (and I'm bettin' it ain't that much).

    His net worth is $4,380,000,000. Four Billion Three Hundred and eighty million bucks.

    40,000 people working 40 hours a week equals 1,600,000 manhours per week.

    1,600,000 m/hrs times $15/hr = $24,000,000 per week times 13 weeks (one quarter of a year) = $312,000,000. A significant amount from my standpoint for sure.

    But from Fertitta's standpoint...

    $4,380,000,000 minus $312,000,000 leaves his net worth at $4,068,000,000. Might near a pauper. Would it really hurt him to keep these people employed for one or two quarters? I can't help but wonder at how much of a bailout from the government (our pockets) guys like this will get for having been "hurt" due to CORONA-19 pandemic.
