Adam just missed out

Of all the people who might buy the jersey that then-New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was wearing when he committed the infamous "Butt Fumble" in 2012, you probably wouldn't think it would be a Jets fan.


But Jake Hendrickson decided he'd better purchase it to prevent the jersey from being used for evil purposes.

"The second I realized what it was, I knew I had to have it," Hendrickson told Yahoo Sports this week. "Almost for macabre reasons, the amount of ridicule I have received from friends regarding that play and me being a diehard Jets fan out in California especially.

"There's no way I could let it get in the hands of an anti-fan or something of that manner to be shoved in our face."
