Alder Wood

    It's hard to find in my area. I finally found some at a premium price. I use chunk wood in my smoker box and most of the stores sell chipped wood.
    Some friends dropped off some trout from their latest trip to Montauk State Park. They called and said, "can you use a couple of trout?" I had enough wood for smoking 2-3 trout. They left 16 trout on my front steps with several 4-5 pounders. Hence the need for more Alder wood. The trout were cleaned hut I sill had to cut off heads and a little slicing and dicing to make them ready for the smoker. All day smoking tomorrow and Thursday a surprise for my gun club.
