Bama festival vs. Coon-ass festival

I just returned from Gulf Shores with my lovely bride after attending the Shrimp Festival. We had a good time, but I couldn't help but notice one major difference.

The band area was cordoned off with aluminum barricades to divide the seating area from the dance area. The seating area accounted for about 80% of the total leaving 20% for dancing. The Bama folks seemed fine with this as most just sat there tapping their toes to the music and only about 5-6 couples actually danced (must have been Coon-ass visitors).

Where I live, they would have tapped their toes about twice, kicked down the barricades and scooted the chairs outside because we're gonna do some SERIOUS two-steppin' or jitter-buggin'.
