Braid to hooks

When tieing braid to a hook sometimes the knot will slide to the end of the eye were it meets the shank and will cut the braid. To stop this tie your line to the hook then cut the line and leave the knot on the eye. Then slide the knot to the end of the eye then tie your line to the hook. The knot you slide down to the end of the eye will keep the new knot from being cut.
