Building New House Question

    I need wisdom from you people!

    My fiancé and I are building a new house. We can't decide whether to add a fireplace or not. It would be wood burning. It would be an additional 3,600 dollars.

    Here is my question: Do you think it is worth the 3,600 to add the fireplace? The plan is to move in 8-10 years. I would like to have it, but at the same time, I'm not sure that it would be enough of a selling point to add that kind of value back into the house at the time we go to re-sell it.
