Concealed Carry Renewal

This was the first time I have renewed my permit. The original permit required training classes, paperwork, finger prints, questions about drug use and an interview with a LEO. This time I just went to the county center, passed over my expiring permit and they gave me my signed renewal paper. It cost about $120 for the original and only $5.50 for the renewal. I thought the process would be a lot harder. How can they do so little on the renewal. In my opinion, people should have to answer some serious questions for a renewal. How do you folks feel about this process?
