Death Wobble

We took a trip to the coast for fishing this past weekend (which wasn't good due to the storm). On the way, running about 75, I hit a bump on a bridge and then it happened. It felt like the front end was coming apart. It lasted for what seemed like 30-45 seconds, until I switched lanes and slowed down to about 40mph. It ran fine the rest of the way, on the beach and on the return trip. Once home, I jacked it up (expecting a wheel brg problem) and everything was good. No grinding and no play anywhere.

So, I did a google search for F250 steering vibration after hitting bump" and found this is a common complaint not just for Ford, but basically any 4wd with coil front suspension. Several complaints have been made to the manufacturers with no luck on a fix. The ideas range from front end alignment to drag links and steer dampeners. Basically anything involved within the steering could cause the wobble and it only takes the slightest wear of any one component.

I figured the feel of what was happening was exaggerated to the driver, until I found this video of what it looks like outside and inside the truck. The wobble starts at about the 1 minute mark

Guess I'll start with an alignment (which I don't see causing this much problem). I'd hate for this to happen pulling the boat to Hartwell
