FT College professor, what a different interview process

The past month I've been a small part of two of those. I've been part of all kinds of interviews in my line of work. I've gota say a university research committee has to be one of the most unusual processes I've ever seen. One person has already heard back and will be starting University of Alabama in the fall, the other has been nominated and waiting on HR to do their background checks. Hopefully they hear this week and receive a written offer. Both came out of their respective professions into the university arena.
