Gay Football Player

    Now that the media has had a field day telling us how courageous this guy is, I'm going to tell you it's wrong. I don't like it and here's why. As a youth I played a lot of different organized sports and spent a great deal of time in various locker rooms. Instead of the baseball, football, or hockey I played, let's say I was lucky enough to play professional co-ed beach volleyball. After a tough match we would all go into the locker room and shower together. As a 20 something year old male with so much testosterone coursing through me that I think of sex 8000 times a day, what do you think is on my mind as I shower with my female teammates? Does anyone really think that this football player is not going to be checking out other guys in the shower? Of course he is, he's attracted to the male body. I would not be comfortable with an openly gay player sharing a locker room with me. Just another nick in a death by a thousand cuts.
