Hand poured grubs

Going to pour some grubs today. My mold will pour 4 sizes. 8,9,10 and 12 in. This is a homemade mold my grandad made. Decided to pour 9 and 12 in. The secret ingredient is the oils I use in the pour. For stained and tannic water I use anise oil. For clear water I use garlic oil. I also use a lot less hardener than most folks This allows for a very soft and supple grub. The grub will tear easily if you put it on over a barb. I cut the barbs off the hook and glue the grub in place. The grub will last a long time this way. I had stopped making grubs because there are commercial grubs in the large sizes today. However, the price of $1.50 to $5.00 a grub irritates me. I have enough material left to pour about 50 large grubs. If you try this, do it in warm weather outdoors as the fumes can be toxic.
