Heirloom tomatoes have an incredible old time mater taste. The modern hybrids are prolific but the taste is diminished. If you plant heirloom tomatoes remember to place a handfull of lime pellets in the hole and cover with an inch of soil before you plant the tomato. The extra lime is needed for heirloom tomatoes to set fruit.

These are the varieties I am planting. Cherokee Purple, Aunt Ginny Purple, Glory, Boxcar Willie, Brandywine Red, Black Krim, Russian Heritage, Amish Paste, German Green and Mortgage Lifter. I am looking for a few others.
