Knew when we got all that rain last week what was going to happen. They got so much rain down below us that they had to shut the dams at all our local lakes. No place to put the water right now. Below is a picture of the dam at Arkabutla Lake which is about 35 or 40 minutes from my house. Lacks less than a foot from going over the top and is still rising. Sardis Lake which is about 30 or so minutes from my house did not get quite the rain but has already risen close to 10' and from the looks of things. It will rise another 3' to 5' which will put it just over Summer Pool. Wish it would have got a little more water then it did because I LOVE HIGH WATER. Spreads out the fish, the fisherman, gives the lake a good cleaning, the fish a real good spawn and seperates the men from the boys when it comes to locating and catching fish. Will give Arkabutla a couple weeks to let it settle down a little. Last time it got like this was back in the 80's and it was on like Donkey Kong !!!!
